Leonardo Resende, CPA is the Founder and CEO of Leader Associates. He has over ten (10) years of experience in taxation, financial statement preparation, and business advisory services. Mr. Resende graduated Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, Major in Accounting, as well as a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Accounting. In addition to his studies, Mr. Resende became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Florida, achieved the Enrolled Agent (EA) designation from the Internal Revenue Service, and is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Prior to founding Leader Associates, Mr. Resende gained valuable experience working at local Certified Public Accounting firms where he provided professional services, including the preparation of financial statements, payroll returns, sales tax returns, and both corporate and individual income tax returns. Mr. Resende is also proficient in the preparation of Bankruptcy tax returns, where he has over 4 years of experience.
Originally from Brazil and fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, Mr. Resende uses his vast experience in the international arena to assist clients in complex international taxation matters, pre and post immigration planning, and business advisory services focused on best practices and profitability.
